Zipline in South Iceland

See the South Coast from a different angle

A short hike into a river canyon, four ziplines and a bird’s-eye view over the hills and valleys around Vík. There is plenty of excitement along the way, with experienced guides and clear safety instructions from the start.

After a 5-minute drive from Vík, you’ll walk for around 5 minutes at a moderate pace to reach the first platform and get ready to fly.

Four ziplines, four different rides

  • Little Rush, 120 m: Your first flight across the canyon and a chance to get comfortable with the experience.
  • The Gentle Giant, 240 m: The longest of the four and often considered the most scenic, with plenty of time to take in the landscape below.
  • Leap of Faith, 30 m: Reached after a 10-minute walk through the rock formations of Grafargil, or “Grave Canyon”. It may be the shortest line, but we’ll leave its surprises for you to discover.
  • Big Rush, 140 m: The final ride takes you across Hundafoss, meaning “Dog’s Waterfall”, for a fitting finish to the adventure.

Is it suitable for first-time zipliners?

Yes. Your guides will go through the equipment and safety procedures before you start, so there is no need for previous ziplining experience.

The adventure combines short hikes with the four zipline rides, giving you time to experience the canyon both from the trail and from above.

Depending on the weather, you may finish with a short walk through the landscape back to base.
