Lunchboxes from Midgard Restaurant
Our lunchboxes are a great option to take with you in the morning before heading out to explore Iceland. You pick up your lunchbox at the front desk and put it in your backpack. When lunch arrives you will enjoy a fresh and delicious meal prepared at a local restaurant from local produce!
The lunchbox includes:
– Chickpea salad flavoured with fresh herbs, capers, cornichons, lemon juice and a salad sauce. Vegan, gluten and lactose free.
– Midgard Trail Mix (nut free). This will give you energy throughout the day. The trail mix consists of pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, raisins, dried cranberries, dried banana chips, vegan chocolate chips, coconut shavings, chia seeds and spices.
– Chocolate cake. Home baked and full of flavour. Vegan, gluten & lactose free.
– Fresh fruit
– Skyr*. The famous traditional Icelandic yogurt-like dessert
– Rice cakes (gluten free)
– Fruit juice
Price: 3.900 ISK
For longer hikes we offer a bigger lunchbox for 5.400 ISK. To book a big lunchbox please email sleep@midgard.is. Please note that the big lunchboxes are only available from June to middle of September.
We recommend you bring your own reusable water bottle to Iceland. Our tap water is amazing and you can also fill up your bottle in a stream/river when out exploring. You can also buy a Midgard reusable water bottle for 1.000 ISK which you can then take with you after your tour.
