If you have limited time then this is your ice cave tour. This tour takes 2-3 hours. You will meet your guide at the meeting point in Vík. You will then embark on a beautiful and exciting super jeep ride to the secret area of one of our 13 glaciers (30-60 minute super jeep ride)!
Once at the glacier area, you will be supplied with all the necessary equipment (IE, helmet, headlamp, and crampons) and your guide will do a short briefing on safety, what to expect, etc. You’ll take a super fun walk to the glacier ice cave (5-10 minutes) and go inside to explore it. We will have a total of 45-60 minutes in the glacier area to enjoy and explore. Your guide will tell you how the ice cave was formed and answer all your questions.

Please note: Depending on the layouts of the cave, we will need to cross some wooden bridges above a small stream to walk on whichever side is widest and safest. The bridges, ropes and ice screws are checked daily to make sure we can operate in safe conditions. The number of bridges can vary due to the glacier changing all the time.
