A day exploring the main island of Vestmannaeyjar (Westman Island), Heimaey allows some of the best nature of Iceland to be fully appreciated and absorbed at an ideal pace. Heimaey is the home of Eldfell volcano, that erupted in 1973, there are its lava flows and crater to explore (and ascend if wished).
The itinerary is tailor-made to your wishes: volcanos, amazing rock formation, coastal cliffs, colourful town and Eldheimar Exhibition vividly illustrates the events of the 1973 eruption.
