A private day tour in Iceland includes a fully customized itinerary tailored to your interests and preferences. You’ll have a dedicated Midgard guide, private transportation, and the flexibility to explore at your own pace.

The advantage of a private day tour is that you have the guide all to yourself, more space in the vehicle and you can adjust the tour to your needs and desires.

3. What is the price of a private day tour?

Yes, you can include other activities with your private day tour. Our travel experts will help you plan additional activities, considering factors like daylight hours and the timing of tours/activities.

6. I want to go on a private day tour to a destination in the Icelandic highlands that is not included in your day tour selection, can I book it?

Absolutely! We love special requests. If the highlands are accessible during your travel dates, we can create a customized tour. Previous custom requests include for example Hólmsárlón, Strútslaug Natural Hot Spring, Ófærufoss, Fagrifoss and Axlafoss waterfalls.

Yes, within our team we have very skilled and experienced itinerary experts that will be happy to organize your whole trip or set up a private multi-day itinerary for you.

8. I have young children, can I still book a private day tour?

Absolutely! We welcome families with young children. There is no minimum age for our private day tours, and we can help you choose the best tour options for your family.

9. How far in advance should I book a private day tour?

We recommend booking as early as possible to ensure availability, especially during peak travel seasons. However, we will do our best to accommodate last-minute requests.

At Midgard, we offer a selection of tours and activities. Our signature tours are Super Jeep tours and hiking tours in Iceland’s untamed wilderness. We have also partnered with the best local providers and handpicked our favorite ice cave tours, snowmobile tours, horse riding tours, cultural experiences and everything else we would love to do ourselves if we were visiting Iceland.

Our uniqueness is that our tours do not only include bucket list places but also Iceland raw and rugged, namely the Icelandic highlands. We don’t do big group trips that lack depth and authenticity.
